Undergraduate students of SP Jain Dubai were invited to the Consulate of India in Dubai on 16th February to share their insights and feedback about their experiences as Indian students in the UAE.

SP Jain Singapore students had the opportunity to attend an enlightening guest session by Dr. Kamish Mirza, Head of Supply Chain Management, Asia Pacific region for Ericsson Telecommunications Pte Ltd. on the 15^th of February. The focus of the discussion mainly revolved around how innovation is affecting the supply chain. Talking about the basics of the supply chain, Dr. Mirza also explained Ericsson and its complexity in detail. Moreover, students got a brief understanding of the Internet of Things and supply chain opportunities and challenges.

In its first edition of the Seaside Startup Summit in Ras Al Khaimah, our 2nd year Undergraduate BBA students aced a competition by winning $4000 for their social entrepreneurial pitch held from 8th to 12th February 2018. Among 70 other teams at Startup Tech Weekend (25th – 27th January 2018) our students – Tanushree Kumar, Saras Sachdev, Riya Shukla and Sahaj Chopra (Team Ligaro) were among the top 5 teams. They pitched to 50 investors and 300 venture capitalists at a more private meeting in a largest outdoor startup event in the UAE.

Global Logistics and Supply Chain students at our Sydney campus had an opportunity to interact with Michael Livingstone, one of Woolworths’ Supply Chain & Logistics experts on 11^th February 2018.

Supply Chain and Logistics at Woolworths is one of the one of the most complicated systems in Australia. As Australia’s top supermarket, it encounters all sorts of challenges.

On 11^th February 2018, Mr. Vikram Pandya (Director – Fintech Program) conducted a 4-hour workshop in Fintech and Blockchain for our MGB & Global MBA Students at the Singapore Campus.

The S P Jain Toastmasters Club in Dubai hosted its first Public Speaking Internal Club Contest of the year on 10th Feb 2018.

On 8th February, a team from Amazon Web Services (AWS) visited our Singapore Campus to speak with our MGB and GMBA students sharing the latest technology, industry trends, and job roles. The workshop brought SP Jain a step closer to building a stronger technology-led business curriculum.

A group of passionate alumni joined us at the Singapore Campus on 8^th February, for the SP Jain Alumni Mixer. Sharing real insights into the changing career market and the potential in the industry they currently represent, the alumni shared their study and work experiences with our current MGB and Global MBA students. The discussions delved into various topics including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology.

As part of the Visiting Wisdom session at our Dubai Campus, Suresh Lalwani (Head of Expatriate Segment - Business Banking, RAKBANK) addressed the SP Jain students on 7th February. He spoke about the banking system in UAE with special reference to Lending and how banks are transforming with changing market conditions.
