SP Jain Global’s commitment to sustainability with Solar powered campus

SP Jain School of Global Management’s Singapore campus made a significant move toward sustainability with the installation of a 363 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Partnering with AOFEI NEW ENERGY SG PTE. LTD (ANE), a leader in clean energy solutions, this initiative aligned with Singapore’s Green Economy vision under the Green Plan 2030 helping cut carbon emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and contribute to a greener future.

Project details:

• Operational date: 21^st March 2025
• System capacity: 363 kWp rooftop solar PV system
• Energy coverage: Powered ~65% of SP Jain’s daytime energy use (7 AM – 7 PM)
• Estimated savings: USD 30,000 annually in energy costs
• No upfront investment: Fully funded, installed, and maintained by ANE under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement

Benefits of the project

This initiative significantly reduced the school’s environmental footprint by lowering carbon emissions and decreasing reliance on traditional grid energy. The project positioned the institution as a leader in sustainable campus operations. Additionally, it contributed to Singapore’s Green Economy pillar by promoting clean technology, supporting the growth of green jobs, and fostering a low-carbon future.
