SP Jain School of Global Management partnered with the Finnish Business Council (FBC) to organise the Talent Dialogue at the Singapore campus on September 4, 2018. Nearly 70 guests, including HR experts, business leaders and industry players, attended the event sponsored by Delouis International, PengWine and Yuen Law LLC.

Dr John Fong, CEO and Head of Campus (Singapore), greeted the attendees with a welcome address. Dr Fong said, “One of the reasons why our Global MBA program has been ranked in the Top 20 by Forbes is because we’re selective with the students that we admit into our program. Over the years, we have contributed to the talent pool in Singapore by connecting our graduates with leading companies and many are now in senior positions. We will continue to maintain an open-door policy when it comes to collaborations, and hence we are delighted to host this Talent Dialogue.”

After Dr Fong’s talk, Mr Janne Lautanala, Chairman at FBC Singapore, shared a few words with the guests while introducing the keynote speaker Mr Samuel Yuen, Managing Director of Yuen Law LLC, with his insight on how to understand employment regulations by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower.
Thereafter, panellists – Ms Minna Rouru, Area HR Director (Asia Pacific) of KONE Corporation; Mr Lim Teck Yong, Head of People of Shopee; and Ms Rachele Focardi, Chief Strategy Officer (Asia Pacific) of Universum – engaged in a lively discussion on employer branding, which was moderated by Ms Elena Chow, Partner at Connect One.
