On 6th September 2024, SP Jain’s Master of Global Business (MGB) students from the February 2024 cohort had the opportunity to visit the DHL Logistics Warehouse in Dubai. The visit was a part of their Warehouse Management course, offering a unique, hands-on learning experience that connected theoretical concepts with real-world logistics operations.
DHL, a global leader in logistics with a presence in over 220 countries and territories, welcomed the students and provided them with an in-depth understanding of its international service portfolio. During the tour, students explored DHL’s extensive operations, including mail delivery, express transport, supply chain management, and e-commerce logistics solutions. They also learned about the company’s impressive journey from its founding in 1969 to becoming a global logistics powerhouse employing over 600,000 people.
A major highlight of the visit was DHL's emphasis on sustainability. Students learned about the company’s initiatives to integrate environmentally responsible strategies into its global logistics operations, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability in business.
The visit also opened discussions around career development opportunities within the logistics sector, providing valuable insights into potential career paths for the students.
