From February 19 to 22, 2024, the SP Jain Global Singapore campus came alive with vibrant hues of cultural diversity during the Spectra Cultural Event. Through various activities and performances, the event aimed to raise awareness and pay tribute to the diverse cultural heritage of our student population.

The event kicked off with a grand opening ceremony and welcome address. On Day 1, the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) amazed the audience with a cultural performance, while attendees had the opportunity to engage in an African Drumming Workshop and learn the Salsa dance moves.

The day featured a delectable sampling of Brazilian cuisine, treating everyone to a culinary journey. Additionally, no one's dessert desires were left unfulfilled, as free unlimited ice cream was served to students and staff. Guests were also treated to complimentary samples of MTR food products.

The spotlight of Day 2 was Belly Dancing, accompanied by entertaining Celebrity Impressions. Guests treated their palates to the exotic flavours of the Middle East and Central Asia with a sampling of their cuisines. Additionally, free unlimited popcorn was given for everyone's enjoyment.

The final day was full of dynamic activities, including immersive Indonesian cultural games and canvas painting sessions. Attendees enjoyed trying different foods from the Philippines, and there was a quiz to test what they knew about different cultures. Additionally, the BBA students performed dances and songs to showcase their talents on stage.

As the event ended, the closing ceremony was highlighted by recognising outstanding contributions through prize distribution by Golo Weber - Associate Professor & Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs (Singapore). Dinner featured local Singaporean cuisine, bringing the event full circle in celebrating cultural diversity.

Throughout the event, the hard work of individuals such as Sara Purohit, Kavish Puri, Dishaeshwaraj Kudugunti, Shagun Kanwar, and Samuel Fragoso, who worked diligently behind the scenes, played a crucial role in its success.

More than just a celebration of diversity, the Spectra Cultural Event highlighted the unity and inclusiveness of the community.
