The S P Jain Toastmasters Club in Dubai hosted its first Public Speaking Internal Club Contest of the year on 10th Feb 2018.
The event was attended by passionate participants from EMBA and BBA. “It was wonderful to witness the Toastmasters Speech Contest and I think it went much further than the Judging Guide set by Toastmasters International,” noted a Senior Executive in the audience.
Dean Gary supported and cheered on the participants as ever, and congratulated the winners. The event concluded with everyone enjoying pizzas. “Toastmasters continues to grow from strength to strength and Parmita continues to lead from the front,” said Dr Gary.
The winners of the contests were announced as follows:
- International Speech Contest
- First Place: Khaleejan Abdul Vaheed (EMBA 38)
- Second Place: Parmita Debnath (Staff)
- Table Topics Contest
- First Place: Amartya Majumdar (BBA Class of 2016)
- Second Place: Arvind Kumar (EMBA 38)
- Third Place: Parmita Debnath (Staff)
- Evaluation Contest
- First Place: Arvind Kumar (EMBA 38)
- Second Place: Khaleejan Abdul Vaheed (EMBA 38)
- Third Place: Attul Sreenath (EMBA 39)
The winners will now advance to the Area Contest which will be held on 9th March 2018. We wish them all the best for this venture.
